Hulk: “I want to be happy in Russia and in Zenit”

Several hours after signing a contract with Zenit, Brazilian forward Hulk gave his first interview to our official website, and told us what he things about his upcoming move to Russia.

— So, you`re a Zenit player now. What do you think about this new stage in your career?— This is another important victory, another important step in my life. But I have to say that I`m thankful to Porto for the opportunity to open doors for me in Russia. I was very happy in Portugal.
— What are you expecting from your move to Russia?
— I want to be happy in Zenit, and in Russia too. I want to work in that direction: to get victories and win many titles, just like it was in Porto.
— You chose the number 29. Why?
— At first I wanted to play as number 12, but I was told that this number belongs to the club`s fans. A friend of mine recommended that I take number 29. He told me that`s a special number.
— When do you plan to come to St. Petersburg?— I`m planning to come after the series of friendly matches for the Brazilian national team, but I can`t tell you the exact date yet.
